Chris PaddockSleepy Hollow Family,

With great sadness, we want to communicate with you the passing of Principal Chris Paddock.

His kindness, humility, and the genuine care he extended were not just hallmarks of his leadership at Sleepy Hollow but were woven throughout the entire district. In a world where genuine leadership is often hard to find, Chris was an embodiment of those rare qualities that make an unforgettable leader.

Every decision he made, every interaction he had, be it with his dedicated staff, eager students, or even a stranger, showcased his deep commitment to the greater good. He has left an indelible mark on our hearts and the hallways of Sleepy Hollow Elementary.

Knowing the significant impact this will have on the Sleepy Hollow community, we have planned for the AISD Trauma Team, a team of counselors trained to help kids in these types of situations, to be on campus to support students and staff.

Grief and loss can have a profound effect on kids, sometimes causing sadness and anxiety. The best thing that we can do to help them is to make sure they have the right information in a way that they understand and to provide caring adults to listen in a supportive environment.

Sincerely,

Doug Loomis | AISD Superintendent
